King Rehoboam was the son of King Solomon, the wisest man to have ever lived. Yet, Rehoboam was foolish in rejecting the wisdom of the elders of the kingdom. Instead he chose to listen to the council of his friends and pears and it led to his nearly immediate downfall.
Who we associate with, and who we seek to please matters far more than we often realize. We must be wise in whose wisdom we determine to follow, that of God or that of the world.
