Luke 6:31

“Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.”

Sometimes being kind can be as simple as a smile, a kind word, or opening a door. It doesn’t have to be complicated, elongated, or hard. Jesus is the answer to the world’s problems, not better manners, but if we are to be like Jesus we will treat others with dignity and respect.

Don’t be kind to others simply in an effort to encourage them to be kind to us, but be kind to others because it is the right thing to do. It is the thing we are instructed to do, and it certainly is what Jesus would have us to do.

When we are kind to others, not only does it carry the potential of making a positive impression and the potential of improving someone else’s day, but it will impact the rest of your day whether or not someone is kind in return.
